The Department of Design and Merchandising offers three academic programs: Apparel Design and Production, Interior Design, and Merchandising. The programs, all leading to a bachelor of science degree, have in common an understanding of design, business practices, and the needs of the client. These programs lead to exciting professional careers and are not found in any other four-year university program in Colorado. Career preparation is facilitated by relevant course work and internship opportunities. The Department has the faculty and facilities to prepare students for these careers.

Position Summary

The Department of Design and Merchandising seeks applications throughout the year from individuals who are interested in obtaining temporary non-tenure track teaching positions within the department.

Required Job Qualifications

For an Instructor-level appointment, a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline is required. For an Assistant Professor appointment, a Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline is required.

Preferred Job Qualifications

One or more years university-level or professional teaching experience.
