Description of Work Unit

The Department of Computer Science at Colorado State University has over 750 undergraduate majors and 150 graduate students in masters and Ph.D. programs. The department has 20 tenure-track faculty with strong research programs in artificial intelligence, big data, bioinformatics, computer vision, human-computer interaction, networks, parallel and distributed computing, security, and software engineering. Position Summary

The Department of Computer Science at Colorado State University (CSU) solicits applications for a tenure-track faculty position in HCC (human-centered computing) or SE (software engineering) at the level of assistant professor beginning fall 2018; exceptional candidates at the level of associate professor will also be considered.

Required Job Qualifications

1. Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field by start of the appointment.
2. Applicant’s research expertise in a relevant area.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Must demonstrate potential for excellence in research in the areas of human-centered computing or software engineering.

Ability to contribute to the development and teaching of computer science in general and particularly topics associated with human-centered computing or software engineering.
